Grace Lalrinpari Hauzel Named National Youth Icon by Ministry of Youth Affairs

Aizawl, Oct. 1, 2025: Grace Lalrinpari Hauzel, a young achiever from Khatla, Aizawl, has been honoured as a National Youth Icon by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, under the Viksit Bharat Connect initiative. She is among a select group of outstanding youth recognized for their leadership and contributions to society.

Currently a fifth-semester History student at Pachhunga University College (PUC), Miss Grace has already carved an inspiring path with a series of notable achievements. Earlier this year, she represented Mizoram at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 and also participated as a delegate at the SOUL Global Conclave.

Her accomplishments include winning the State-level National Youth Parliament Competition 2024, where she emerged first among participants from 11 districts of Mizoram. She later represented the state as a Youth MP at the National Youth Parliament Festival 2024.

Beyond parliamentary platforms, Miss Grace has excelled in multiple fields. She was awarded the Best Volunteer Award at the North East Festival 2024 in Agartala and has secured recognition in national-level essay writing and debate competitions.

Speaking after her recognition, Miss Grace expressed gratitude and reaffirmed her commitment to youth empowerment. “I hope to dedicate my efforts to teaching and inspiring young people to dream big and serve society with responsibility,” she said.

The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect initiative aims to engage the country’s youth in nation-building and provide a platform for emerging leaders. Grace’s recognition not only brings pride to Mizoram but also highlights the growing role of young voices in shaping India’s future.
