Mizoram Launches State Healthcare Society Website to Strengthen Universal Healthcare Access

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lalrinpuii highlighted the progress of the Mizoram Universal Healthcare Scheme (MUHCS) since its implementation on April 1, 2025. She noted that the scheme has already enabled 31,263 hospital admissions across the state and outside, amounting to claims worth ₹42.06 crore, easing the financial burden of thousands of households through its cashless treatment system.

The Minister expressed gratitude to healthcare providers and officials for ensuring smooth implementation and urged continued efforts to make the scheme more effective. She stressed that with an expanding network of empanelled hospitals, citizens and government employees alike can now avail seamless admission and treatment under MUHCS.

Dr. Lalhriatzuali Ralte, CEO of MSHCS, reported that Mizoram currently has 11 empanelled private hospitals and 3 private daycare centres, in addition to 25 empanelled hospitals and 13 deemed empanelled hospitals across the state. This network, she said, reflects the growing healthcare infrastructure under MUHCS.
