Kohima, July 30, 2025: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the 24th Dr. T. Ao Inter-District Football Championship, expressing joy over the unity and excitement surrounding the event. Held with great enthusiasm, the tournament brings together teams from across the state in a celebration of football and community.

Organized under the aegis of the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, the championship pays tribute to Dr. T. Ao, the legendary Naga footballer who captained independent India’s first Olympic football team.
