Kohima, August 1, 2025: The Government of Nagaland has reviewed the Impact Assessment Report of the Hornbill Festival 2024, with results indicating a notable boost in local economies, tourism, and cultural exchange. Officials expressed satisfaction with the findings and emphasized the value of the feedback provided in shaping future editions of the festival.

Chief Minister and top state officials praised the collaborative efforts behind the assessment, stating that the government is committed to ongoing improvements to ensure the Hornbill Festival continues to grow as a world-class cultural showcase.

In a parallel development, the Concert Economy in Nagaland received renewed focus. A presentation by Mr. Theja Meru, Chairman of the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), highlighted the state's growing potential to become a premier destination for immersive music events. With the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and major upgrades to Kisama Heritage Village infrastructure, Nagaland is set to tap into the cultural and economic opportunities of large-scale music festivals.
