Sakawrdai, July 6, 2025: As part of preparations for the upcoming YMA General Conference to be held in October, a new public-use ATM Booth was inaugurated today in Sakawrdai, Sinlung Hills Council Headquarters, Mizoram by Village Council President (VCP) Pu T. Lalropuia.
The brief inauguration ceremony took place at the ATM booth located in Pu Thanglianchhunga’s building. VCP Pu Lalropuia, who cut the ribbon, expressed his happiness and stated that the booth was a much-needed facility for the local community. He added that its opening reflects Sakawrdai’s readiness to host the prestigious YMA General Conference and will benefit residents and visitors alike.
EFCI Presbytery Superintendent Rev. Langminthang Zote led a prayer dedicating the ATM booth to God, while Franchisee Pu Jerry H. Pulamte and Mizoram Rural Bank Sakawrdai Branch Manager Pu Reuben-a also addressed the gathering.
The newly opened booth is individually run and operated under Vakrangee Kendra Company Ltd., which holds a license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It allows cash withdrawals using any bank’s ATM card. With individual care and responsibility, the booth aims to serve the community reliably and reduce inconvenience, especially during times of cash shortage.
