Zanskar, July 25, 2025: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu joined nearly 30,000 spiritual seekers at Karsha Photang in Zanskar this morning for the revered Yarchos Chenmo, the Great Summer Dharma gathering, hosted by the historic Karsha Monastery.
The event was graced by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, whose teachings on compassion, dependent origination, the Four Noble Truths, the nature of emptiness, and the path of the Bodhisattva deeply moved the gathering. Under the vast Himalayan skies and surrounded by the sacred mountains, attendees sat in spiritual reflection and unity.
Pema Khandu, sharing his experience on social media, described the moment as humbling and sacred. “Peace isn’t just a dream, it’s a practice. And compassion isn’t weakness, it’s strength,” he wrote, expressing gratitude for the Dalai Lama’s timeless wisdom.
