Churachandpur, July 25, 2025: The Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) has issued an official clarification following the circulation of a fake press release on July 24, 2025, which falsely used the council’s letterhead. According to KZC, the fabricated document contained misleading and inflammatory content aimed at creating communal tensions.
In a statement released on July 25, the Kuki-Zo Council categorically denied any association with the forged press release, asserting that it neither reflects the Council’s position nor its intentions. The Council condemned the act as "highly unfortunate, malicious, and condemnable," and urged authorities to identify and take action against those responsible.

KZC further appealed to the public and media to verify the authenticity of any future KZC-related communications through its official WhatsApp Channel.
The Council also called on everyone to remain vigilant and refrain from spreading unverified information that could disrupt communal harmony.
The clarification was issued by Ginza Vualzong, Secretary of Information & Publicity, Kuki-Zo Council.
