Aizawl, July 6, 2025: The Mizo Students’ Union (MSU) General Headquarters has announced a protest march under the banner “Quality Education Humhalhna Kawngzawh” to be held on Monday, July 7, starting from Vanapa Hall to the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Aizawl.
This decision was taken during an emergency executive committee meeting held yesterday. The move comes in response to the state government's alleged inaction regarding MSU’s demand to ban 29 unqualified part-time assistant professors appointed under the Higher & Technical Education Department.
MSU stated that despite submitting a formal appeal, the government has failed to address the matter seriously. The student body is demanding that the government immediately remove unqualified teachers and ensure that only competent and qualified candidates are appointed to teaching positions to uphold academic standards.
