Hmarkhawlien, July 2, 2025: In a proud moment for the Hmar community and football enthusiasts across Assam, Lenruol FC, based in Hmarkhawlien, Cachar District, has been crowned champions of the Assam Youth Under-13 League, finishing the season with 15 wins out of 16 matches. This exceptional performance also secured them a spot in the prestigious I-League Under-13, marking their official entry into the national-level football scene.
As the only Hmar club to qualify for the I-League U-13, Lenruol FC’s achievement is not only historic but also a source of inspiration for aspiring young athletes across the region.
The club’s Founder President, Mesak Lalsanhim, issued a heartfelt message of appreciation following the win:
