The DPF's debut comes at a time when political uncertainty and public disillusionment with traditional parties continue to dominate Manipur’s political discourse. The party’s leadership has positioned itself as a movement for change, pledging to focus on local governance, regional identity, and inclusive policy-making.
With the 2027 Manipur Assembly elections on the horizon, the DPF's announcement signals the emergence of a new political force seeking to reshape the state's political dynamics through regional solidarity and grassroots participation.
