Imphal, July 31, 2025: In a continued effort to maintain peace and security in Manipur, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from Thangjing Ridge near K. Geljang village under Churachandpur Police Station, Churachandpur district, on July 30, 2025, according to a statement by the Manipur Police.
The recovered items include:
• 01 AK rifle with magazine
• 01 SBBL shotgun
• 03 Pompis
• 01 Pompi empty shell
• 03 Detonators
• 08 live 12 bore rounds
• 01 IED cap
• 02 Baofeng radio sets
• 03 Helmets
The successful recovery comes amid heightened vigilance in conflict-sensitive areas and is part of ongoing operations aimed at curbing the proliferation of illegal arms in the state.
