Aizawl, June 11, 2025: The Empowered Committee for Investment, chaired by Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, convened today in Aizawl to deliberate on proposals for establishing new ginger processing units across Mizoram.
During the meeting, proposals from the following companies were reviewed:
SJAR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. – Aizawl District
Opickpure Organic Pvt. Ltd. – Khuangleng, Champhai District
AV Biotech – Chhingchhip
Panacriti Extracts & Nutraceuticals – Mamit District (Public-Private Partnership mode)
Out of these, three companies have already submitted their draft Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to the state government. These draft agreements will be further examined and revised as needed before final approval.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. KC Lalmalsawmzauva, Adviser to the Chief Minister, along with other key officials and stakeholders.

The initiative aims to boost agro-based industries in Mizoram and create opportunities for economic growth, employment, and value-added processing of local produce.
