Hyderabad, May 31, 2025: Thailand’s Suchata “Opal” Chuangsri has been crowned Miss World 2025 at the glittering 72nd edition of the global beauty pageant held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, India.
Chuangsri, a 21-year-old model and former Miss Universe Thailand 2024, emerged victorious among 107 contestants from across the globe, impressing judges with her elegance, intelligence, and social commitment. She had earlier placed as the 3rd runner-up at Miss Universe 2024.
The first runner-up title went to Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia, while Aurélie Joachim of Martinique was named the second runner-up. The other finalist in the top four was Maja Klajda from Poland.
In the spirit of the Miss World Organization’s “Beauty with a Purpose” motto, Chuangsri pledged to use her reign to promote education and clean water initiatives across underserved regions. The prestigious Beauty with a Purpose award was won by Monica Kezia Sembiring of Indonesia for her clean water project titled "Pipeline for Lifeline."
The event dazzled audiences with cultural performances and appearances by Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter. The panel of judges included actor Sonu Sood, entrepreneur Sudha Reddy, and former Miss England Dr. Carina Tyrrell, with Julia Morley, Chairperson of the Miss World Organization, serving as head judge.
Chuangsri’s win marks a significant moment for Thailand, reaffirming the nation's growing presence on the global pageantry stage.
