Walong/Kibithoo, May 13, 2025, Virthli (ONP): In a powerful display of grassroots governance and patriotic unity, the Arunachal Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, reached the remote Anjaw district to conduct the latest edition of the Cabinet Aapke Dwar initiative. The state cabinet assembled today at Kibithoo, India’s easternmost village, making it a landmark moment for decentralized governance in the region.

Ahead of the cabinet meeting, CM Khandu and his ministers, along with local leaders, Army personnel, and enthusiastic citizens, participated in a Tiranga Yatra at Walong - a place steeped in natural beauty and historical significance. The march culminated at the Walong War Memorial, honoring the sacrifices of Indian soldiers in the 1962 Indo-China war. The event resonated with patriotic fervor, symbolizing solidarity with the armed forces and the spirit of national pride.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister emphasized the goal of Cabinet Aapke Dwar: to take the entire government machinery - including ministers, senior officers, and department heads - directly to the people. “This initiative ensures governance is not limited to office walls, but felt at the grassroots, in every village and every home,” Khandu said.

Key policy announcements and developmental initiatives tailored specifically for Anjaw district are expected to be unveiled during the cabinet session in Kibithoo. By holding such meetings in remote areas, the state government aims to bridge administrative gaps and directly engage with local communities.
