CCpur, July 01 2018: The Hmar Students Association GHQ has petitioned the SDOs of Parbung and Vangai Sub-Divisions to function their offices effectively at their respective Sub-Divisional Headquarters.
The students body has argued their case based on the Chief Secretary's order No 1/ 1/2018-CS (Manipur) dated January 25, that has instructed all SDOs to run their offices effectively at their respective Sub-Divisional Headquarters on or before 10 day.
'This instruction has been made purely in the interest of the public without any prejudice.
It is also in line with the "Go to the villages" call made by the CM', said the statement issued by Richard L Hmar.
The SDOs should function from their respective Sub-Divisional Headquarters 'immediately' and should no longer carry out their functions from Churachandpur, it added.
