JOINT PRESS COMUNIQUE

The undersigned Presidents of the Apex bodies of Churachandpur District, Manipur namely, the Hmar Inpui, Kuki Innpi, Churachand pur, Zomi Council and the Mizo Peoples Convention, Manipur hereby releases this joint Press Communiqué to vent their remorse in connection with the notification of the Govt. of Manipur (Home Dept.) dated 20/08/2016 thereby cancelling the results of the Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Written Test and Ordering for a fresh recruitment process to be held w.e.f. 30th & 315t August, 2016.
It may be mentioned here that the Govt. Vide its notification in the year 2013 had called for recruitment of 2000 Police Constable (Male) and subsequently conducted PET and Written Test. Results of the said test had also been declared. However, the recruitment process was held up with no proper cause shown. To the grave dismay of the successful candidates, the Govt. of Manipur had issued a notification mentioned above and called for a fresh recruitment process.
The undersigned strongly condemn the unreasonable act of the Govt. calling for fresh recruitment process as most unjust. Therefore, appeals the Govt. of Manipur to revoke its order in public interest.
The apex bodies also make a fervent appeal to the candidates concerned not to join in the fresh recruitment process due to be held w.e.f. 30th & 31" August, 2016.
The apex bodies hereby clarify that this Joint Press Communiqué is made to condemn the unfair, unreasonable and unjust act of the Govt. of Manipur in its dealings with the said Police Recruitment Process.
