
SILCHAR, Nov 25: In a bid to rejuvenate the outfit, the Hill Tigers Force (HTF) replaced its ‘commander-in-chief’ and finance secretary who had recently been arrested by the army. HTF, a militant outfit of the non-Dimasa tribes in Dima Hasao district in its meeting on Friday at its headquarters in Hampeopet, unanimously elected N Gamlien Hmar as the new ‘c-in-c’ and Nicky as the new finance secretary. Lunneh Kuki, the self-styled publicity secretary of the outfit informed The Sentinel. Army on November 5 arrested nine HTF militants including its ‘c-in-c’ Benjamin and finance secretary Alex from Arda village.
