University of Madras has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following Programmes of Academic Year 2011-12 under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS):
(1) Master’s Degree programmes
(2) MPhil programmes

However, the cost of application for Rs.300/- by means of Demand Draft shall be enclosed.
Separate application forms (at a cost of Rs.300/-) shall be submitted for each Programme (including Regular and Self-supportive programme) offered by the different Schools. Applications cannot be transferred from one School to another.
The filled-in Application shall be sent directly to the Registrar, University of Madras, Tholkapiar Valagam (Chepauk) on or before the cutoff date specified below.
Last date for submission of completed applications is extended to May 25, 2011
