Applications on prescribed OMR form are invited from eligible class 10th, 10+2 PCM/PCB/Vocational; ITI and diploma (Engg) passed/appearing candidate for admission to Base (certificate), diploma and degree modules in technology stream, and B.Sc in forestry stream

Information Brochure(IB)-cum-OMR Application Form can be obtained from Directorates of Higher Education of 8 North Eastern States and main branches of Axis Bank at Itanagar, Guwahati (Paltan bazar & Christian Basti), North Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Nagaon, New Bongaigaon, Silchar, Karimganj, Shillong, Tura, Aizawl, Imphal, Kohima, Dimapur, Gangtok, Agartala, Dharmanagar, Siliguri, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Ranchi, Lucknow, New Delhi, Raipur, Chennai, Bangaluru, Mumbai and Pune @ “750/- for GE/OBC, and “400/- for ST/SC/PD w.e.f. 03.01.2011 to 25.02.2011


ELIGIBILITY
Qualification For NEE-I: Applicants should have passed Matriculation or Class 10th examination or anequivalent examination with Science and Mathematics. The candidate should have passed in both Science and Mathematics subjects. Applicants appearing in the above mentioned examination, and whose results are awaited may also appear in the NERIST Entrance Examination. In such cases, selected applicants must produce the original pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of their admission. Otherwise, their admission shall stand automatically cancelled.
Maximum Age Limit: 19 years for GE, 24 years for ST/SC/PD and 22 years for OBC and female applicants as on 1st August, 2011.

Qualifications For NEE-II:
(i) NEE-II (PCMB): For Technology Stream- Applicants with 10+2 PCM/PCMB should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, separately. For Forestry stream- Applicants with 10+2 PCB/PCMB should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, separately.
(ii) NEE-II (Vocational): For Technology Stream- Applicants with 10+2 Vocational / ITI / NERIST Certificate in the branch/trade, viz,. Farm Machinery & Equipment(FE) / Food Processing(FP) / Construction Technology i.e. Draftsmanship / Surveyor(CT) / Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM)/ Electrical Tech. or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM) / Mechanical Craftsmanship(MC) / Automobile Technology(AT) / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning(R&AC) / Structure & Fabrication Technology (SFT) are eligible. Candidates with 10+2(PCM/PCMB) / 10+2 (Vocational) / ITI / NERIST certificate holders are also eligible for admission to Computer Science & Engineering.
For Forestry stream- Applicants with 10+2 vocational in Forestry/ Horticulture or NERIST Certificate (in Forestry) holders are eligible.

Applicants appearing in the above mentioned qualifying examination and whose results are awaited may also appear in the Entrance Examination. In such cases, selected applicants must produce the original pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of their admission. Otherwise, their admission shall stand automatically
cancelled.
Maximum Age Limit: 23 years for GE, 28 years for ST/SC/PD and 26 years for OBC and female applicants as on 1st August , 2011.

Qualifications For NEE-III:

Applicants must have passed the 3-years’ Diploma course from any Government recognized polytechnic in the respective or allied discipline/ branch as per the Appendix-III of the Information Brochure, NEE-2011
with 60% marks considering the aggregate marks of all the three years or NERIST Diploma Module. Admission is available for the disciplines AE, CE, CSE, ECE, EE, & ME. Those applicants who do not possess their qualification as per the disciplines/branches mentioned in Appendix-III are not eligible for admission.
Admission to Degree Module in engineering is made in the following disciplines/branches:-
(i) Agricultural Engineering
(ii) Civil Engineering
(iii) Computer Science & Engineering
(iv) Electrical Engineering
(v) Electronics & Communication Engineering.
(vi) Mechanical Engineering
Those appearing in Final year of three-year diploma course may also appear in NEE-III for consideration
of provisional admission.
Maximum Age Limit: 40 years for GE, 45 years for ST/SC/PD and 43 years for OBC and female applicants as on 1st August, 2011.

Last Date: 04th March, 2011
Date of examination: 30th April, 2011 for NEE-II and NEE-III; 01st May, 2011 for NEE-I
