Qualification and experience:
As per latest UGC/AICTE norms with high quality research publication and as per requirement of the courses. (for details, please see GU website : www.gauhati.ac.in). Mere fulfillment of qualification will not entitle an applicant for inviting to the interview. In case of post nos. 1 & 2, administrative experience are desirable.
For contractual post: Rs. 15,000/-(Consolidated) per month

Application Fees & Last Date:
Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as application fees for the post. Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14” latest by 24-12-2010. Those who are willing to apply for more than one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application fee. The name of the post and Department must be written on the envelope of the application.
Important:
Those who have already applied for the post of Lecturer/Reader/Professor against Sl. No. 4(G,H) 5(G,H) and 6(A) vide our Advt. No. T/2009/1 & T/2009/3 must apply again in terms of this advertisement by submitting the duly filled in application form which can be downloaded from the University website www. gauhati.ac.in , However if they enclose a copy of the receeipt of the application fee paid earlier, they need not pay any application fee again.
