Imphal, Sept. 24: The Thadou Students’ Association (TSA-GHQ) has extended its warm congratulations to Dr. C. Lalremruata, the newly elected President of the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP-GHQ), and the office bearers for the 2025–2027 tenure.
Dr. Lalremruata was elected with an overwhelming mandate on September 3, 2025, and formally assumed office on September 22, 2025, marking what the TSA described as “a promising new chapter in the service of the student community.”
In a message issued on Wednesday, the TSA expressed confidence that under the new leadership, the MZP will continue to uphold its proud legacy of championing the welfare and advancement of students, not only in Mizoram but also in the wider Mizo-ethnic community across the globe.
Alongside its congratulations to the new team, the TSA also conveyed deep gratitude to the outgoing president, Mr. H. Lalthianghlima, and his colleagues for their tenure from 2023 to 2025. The release acknowledged their “committed service, record of achievements, and spirit of unity,” which, it said, would serve as an inspiration for generations to come.
Reaffirming its solidarity, the TSA pledged to continue collaborating with the MZP on initiatives that empower students while advancing social, educational, and cultural causes. “As we bid farewell to the outgoing team and warmly welcome the new leadership, TSA reaffirms its steadfast commitment to support and collaborate with the Mizo Zirlai Pawl,” the statement read.
The TSA underlined that shared goals of student welfare and community empowerment will remain the cornerstone of cooperation between the two student bodies.
Concluding its message, the TSA wished the outgoing leaders success in their future endeavours and the incoming team a fruitful, impactful tenure.
The statement was signed by Thangminlun Thadou, Secretary General of TSA-GHQ, on behalf of the association.
