Imphal, August 2, 2025: The Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, virtually participated in the national launch of the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The PM-KISAN scheme provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three equal instalments, directly transferred to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
As part of the latest instalment, a total of ₹18.09 crore is being disbursed to 74,963 beneficiaries across Manipur, aimed at strengthening agricultural livelihoods and ensuring timely support to farmers.
The occasion also marked PM-KISAN Diwas, being celebrated across the state by the Department of Agriculture and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). Events include farmer-scientist interactions, input distribution, and awareness activities highlighting various government initiatives for farmers.
