Udaipur , July 12, 2025: In a major boost to religious tourism, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the ambitious Shakti Peetha Park project at Banduar, Udaipur in Gomati district, the sacred land of Mata Tripura Sundari.
The state-of-the-art spiritual tourism project will be developed over the next 15 months at a cost of ₹97.70 crore. The park will feature replicas of all 51 Shakti Peethas, the world's largest Nataraj statue, Tripura's first glass skywalk bridge, and other modern facilities aimed at enhancing the tourist experience.
Speaking at the Bhumi Pujan and foundation laying ceremony, CM Dr. Saha also launched the new logo of Tripura Tourism, reflecting the state’s renewed focus on positioning itself as a global spiritual tourism destination.

“This park will not only honour our spiritual heritage but also fulfill Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s vision of developing at least one world-class tourist destination in every state,” said the Chief Minister.
Once completed, the park is expected to draw devotees and tourists from across India and abroad, firmly placing Tripura on the national tourism map.
