Imphal, July 14, 2025: A delegation from the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), led by Mr. H. Kuba Peter, met the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today to discuss vital development initiatives and cultural preparations in the district.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a memorandum requesting the implementation of three key infrastructure and connectivity projects aimed at boosting regional development and accessibility. The proposed projects are expected to accelerate socio-economic growth and improve transportation in the district.
In addition to infrastructure concerns, the NPO also briefed the Governor on the ongoing preparations for the Barak River Festival, a significant cultural event in the region. They highlighted the various initiatives being taken to ensure its successful and vibrant celebration, reflecting the community’s commitment to preserving and promoting local heritage.
