Imphal, July 14, 2025: The Manipur district administration, with active support from local authorities, has launched a focused anti-encroachment drive to reclaim public land and restore civic infrastructure across key areas in Imphal West and Imphal East.

The operation began on 12th July (Saturday) in the Keishampat and Kwakeithel areas of Imphal West, followed by action on 14th July (Monday) in the Chingmeirong Erong Nala area of Imphal East. The drive involved removal of encroached structures, clearing of obstructed roads, and reopening of blocked drainage channels to improve public access and sanitation.

Authorities stated that all actions were carried out strictly in accordance with legal procedures, following the issuance of official notices to concerned parties.
