Agartala, June 19, 2025: In an effort to intensify mass awareness on HIV/AIDS, the Tripura State AIDS Control Society (TSACS), under the guidance of the Health Department of the State Government, organized a special awareness meeting at the Tripura Legislative Assembly lobby today.
The session, held in the presence of key stakeholders and policymakers, was a part of the ongoing initiatives by the government to sensitize both the public and lawmakers about the prevention, treatment, and social challenges related to HIV/AIDS.
The awareness programme was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, along with the active participation of members of the ‘Tripura Legislative Forum on AIDS’.
Also present at the event were Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri Biswa Bandhu Sen, Deputy Speaker, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Whip, MLAs, and several other dignitaries. Their presence underscored the government’s collective commitment to fighting stigma and ensuring a well-informed and inclusive approach to HIV/AIDS.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha praised the proactive role of the Legislative Forum in advancing the HIV awareness agenda and reiterated his government’s dedication to expanding public health outreach, especially among vulnerable and high-risk groups.

The Tripura State AIDS Control Society continues to conduct regular awareness campaigns, community outreach, testing drives, and educational sessions across the state, aligned with national health strategies and in partnership with civil society organisations.
