Guwahati, June 23, 2025: In response to the recent landslides near the Jaginga-Lampu section of NH-27 that disrupted rail connectivity between Guwahati and the districts of Dima Hasao and Barak Valley, the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-IV Posts has announced a special provision for affected candidates.

Special Interview Opportunity Announced for Dima Hasao & Barak Valley Candidates

According to a press note issued today, candidates from these districts who were scheduled to appear for interviews under the ongoing recruitment for Class-IV posts will be granted a revised opportunity due to the transportation disruption. The disruption has been formally acknowledged by a railway bulletin (NFHQ, dated June 23, 2025) that noted the cancellation and rescheduling of trains.

The Commission has extended special consideration to ensure equal opportunity for candidates impacted by this natural calamity. These individuals will now be allowed to attend their interviews on revised dates, which will be announced soon.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website of the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), www.sebaonline.org, and refer to daily newspapers for updates on the revised schedule.

This measure follows the Commission’s earlier notification (No. SLRC-G-IV/Assam/Advertisement for Analogous Posts-IV/2023-24/01/128 dated 27-05-2025), reaffirming its commitment to fairness in the recruitment process amidst unforeseen challenges.
