Aizawl, May 11, 2025, Virthli ONP): In an extraordinary interfaith gesture, the people of Mizoram across Christian, Hindu, and Muslim communities offered prayers for the Indian Armed Forces and for a peaceful resolution to the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan.

Responding to a call for national solidarity reportedly initiated by the Central Government, places of worship throughout the state, including churches, temples, and mosques, held special prayer services today. These prayers were dedicated to the safety and strength of the Indian soldiers currently engaged in “Operation Sindoor” and stationed in high-tension zones.

Christian congregations, led by pastors and church leaders, held prayer gatherings on Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. Special intercessions were made for peace, reconciliation, and divine protection for the armed forces. Similarly, Hindu devotees offered rituals and prayers in temples, while Muslim worshippers gathered in mosques to express their solidarity and invoke peace.

The collective observance marks a rare and powerful display of unity in Mizoram, a state known for its deep-rooted religious faith and communal harmony. It also reflects the growing concern and compassion among civilians for those serving on the frontlines of national defense.
