Aizawl, May 22, 2025, Virthli (ONP): Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has extended heartfelt congratulations to Inspector Jeffrey Hmingchullo of the CRPF for being awarded the Shaurya Chakra, one of India’s highest peacetime gallantry awards.
In a message posted on social media, CM Lalduhoma praised Inspector Hmingchullo's exceptional bravery and sacrifice, saying his actions bring pride to the Zohnathlak people and serve as an inspiration to others.
"India honours its bravest through gallantry awards, and I deeply appreciate and admire Inspector Jeffrey Hmingchullo for receiving the prestigious Shaurya Chakra," the Chief Minister wrote. "His selfless act is a symbol of courage and love for the nation, and it reminds us all to uphold such values in our own lives."
Inspector Hmingchullo, who hails from Vengthlang, Rengkai in Churachandpur district, was recognized for his heroic role in a counter-Maoist operation in Jharkhand in 2023, during which he neutralized two Maoists despite facing heavy enemy fire. He currently serves with the 203 CoBRA Battalion of the CRPF.
The recognition highlights not only his personal valor but also the contribution of soldiers from the Northeast in safeguarding national security.
