Madam, We, on behalf of all the Jiri-Barak Valley Hmar Civil Society Joint Organisations, have the honour to place the following points for your kind consideration and necessary action.

1. We vehemently condemned the unlawful activity carried out by suspected Naga militants at Cachar, Jiriphai Hmar village on 3rd June where all the villagers including children, old persons and students had to flee away with distress and fear. We demand the Central Govt. and Govt. of Assam to ensure peaceful atmosphere so that no such incident occurred in future.

We demand the Govt of Assam to provide Police Out-Post at Jiriphai for security and protection of the villagers and the said areas.

The mentioned Joint Organisations express its deep concern and sympathy to the displaced villagers and therefore made an earnestly appeal the Central Govt. and Govt. of Assam to take immediate action to fulfill the demand points and punish those who are found guilty as per law.
