Public Appeal
Lamka: the 7th December 2015

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicle: 7:14

The Tribal Movement for our dignity, our land and our rights will cross 100 days on December 9, 2015.

To mark the 100th day of our protest against the injustice meted out to the tribal people, and the persistent prejudice and indifference of the Manipur Government towards our plight, a Mass Prayer will be held at the Lamka Public Ground on 9th December, 2015 from 12:00 Noon onwards. We humbly urge our brethrens across the tribal territories of Manipur to organize similar mass prayers.

This will be a time to pay homage to our nine Tribal Martyrs, a time to introspect and thank the Almighty for having led us thus far, and also a time to humble ourselves while seeking the Lord's forgiveness for any misdeeds, and cry out for His help to heal our land.

In honour of the supreme sacrifices made by our nine Tribal Martyrs, we humbly appeal to all tribals to light candles outside their respective homes between 6:00PM and 7:00PN1 on the night of 9th December, 2015.

The Joint Action Committee against Anti-Tribal Bills (JAC) would also like to urge our tribal brothers and sisters across India and the World to organize similar mass prayers, and light candles at their respective homes to show our united stand for the Tribal Movement.

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
But we trust in the name of the LORD our God"
PSALM 20:7
