With the customary Hiamkhaam performed by the Manipur State Government on 2nd November, 2015 wherein the Joint Action Committee accepted the State Government's acknowledgement of guilt for the actions committed by the State Security Forces, the Joint Action Committee in a joint meeting with the innpis/tribe councils and tribal leaders today resolved to temporarily suspend all dharnas and bandhs from tomorrow, including the Total Bandh which was proposed to begin from the midnight of 3rd November 2015. However, if the talks with the State Government fail at any stage, more intensive agitations will be launched.
On the other hand, school and college timings will remain unchanged. Also, as a mark of respect to our departed Tribal Martyrs, shops and offices will continue to remain closed from 2:00PM in the afternoon till 5:00AM the next day.

The joint meeting also discussed in detail the proposed Charter of Demands to be made to the Government of Manipur, and would like to thank those who have contributed their ideas and suggestions towards framing of the document.

The Joint Action Committee would also like to bring to the notice of the general public that suggestions for the Charter of Demands are still being sought, and the same can still be submitted by e-mail (at the following e-mail address: jac.tribals@gmail.com) or in writing to the JAC Information Center at KKL Complex, IB Road, Lamka by 10:00AM tomorrow. Detailed discussion on the proposed Charter of Demands, along with the suggestions and proposals will be held tomorrow, 4th November, 2015 with representatives from the Joint Action Committee, United Naga Council, Kuki Innpi Manipur and All Tribal Students' Union Manipur.

The Joint Action Committee also extends its moral support to the total bandh called by the JAC-Jiribam to begin on the midnight of 3rd November, the 10-day economic blockade called by the United Naga Council from the midnight of 2"d November to the midnight of 12th November, as well as the Mass Rally proposed to be held at Delhi on November 4, 2015 by the Manipur Tribals Forum Delhi.
