The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JAC) in its meeting held today at the JAC Information Center, KKL Complex deliberated on the request made to the JAC by leaders of the Gangte Tribe Council, the Hmar Inpui, the Kuki Innpi Churachandpur, the Mate Tribe Council, the Mizo People Convention, the Simte Tribe Council, the Tedim Chin Union, the United Zou Organization and the Vaiphei Peoples' Council for the initiation of the process for the resumption of normal public life post November 30, 2015.
The JAC meeting resolved that starting December 1, 2015, all schools as well as shops and establishments including government offices shall be allowed to start to re-open as normal. However, lengkhawm at the Lamka District Hospital will continue under the supervision of the Joint Philanthropic Organization and the JAC: Women Wing till the mortal remains of our nine Tribal Martyrs are laid to rest.
