Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites application for the Posts of Indian Forest Service Examination (IFS)Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit : 21-30 years.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category – 4 attempts, (ii) OBC – 7 attempts (iii) SC/ST – No limit.
Application Fee : Candidates can pay Rs.100/- (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card. (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
