Biennial Conference of NEICCYA 2012- Report

Shillong: The 14^th Biennial Conference of the North East India Christian Council Youth Assembly (NEICCYA) was recently held during 20^th-22^nd April 2012 at the Church of God (Meghalaya & Assam), Qualapatty, Shillong, Meghalaya. Out of the 42 affiliated churches and para-churches, 25 units could take part, and altogether more than 300 delegates took part in the conference from within Shillong and outside. The theme of the conference was “Be an Example” (I Tim. 4:12). The 15^th Biennial Conference, 2014 will be hosted by the Evangelical Church of Maraland, Saiha, South Mizoram.

The newly elected Office Bearers for the term 2012-2014 are:

President  - Rev. Jessai L. Neitham, Evangelical Free Churchof India, Shillong

Vice-President - Mr. T. Lalhlimpuia, Baptist Churchof Mizoram, Lunglei

Secretary - Dr. C. Lalliansanga, Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod, Aizawl

Assistant Secretary - Mr. Hrangthanmawia, Salvation Army Youth, Aizawl

Treasurer - Mr. Samuel Dkhar, Church of God (M&A), Shillong

Finance Secretary  - Rev. Amminot T. Sohliya, KJP Synod Sepngi, Shillong

Moreover, two more events of the NEICC will be taking place in the coming weeks.

1. 10^th Biennial Assembly of the NEICC Women Assembly (NEICCWA) will be held during 3^rd-6^th May 2012 at Nongpoh Presbyterian Church, Ribhoi District, Meghalaya.

2. 75^thNEICC Annual Session-cum-Platinum Jubilee Celebration will be held during 17^th-20^th May 2012 to be hosted by KJP Synod Mihngi at Rymbai Presbyterian Church, Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.
