Rankings of universities like IIT Mumbai, IIT Madras fell from the list of 200 and found their place in the list of 300. Rest of the Indian universities like IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, University of Delhi, University of Calcutta, University of Pune and University of Mumbai lost their place in the list of top 300 World University Rankings.
But some Indian universities fared well in the QS Asian University rankings. IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee climbed rankings and ranking of IIT Mumbai dropped.
The above figure very clearly states that we have lost the presence on the global map by losing the place in the top 200 category but yes we still occupy a satisfactory position in the Asian ranking. It is time to work hard and bring back the position of Indian Universities in top 200 list.
