UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2011

A competitive examination for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from the 9th July, 2011 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Environment and Forests in the Gazette of India dated the 19th March, 2011.

Education Qualification : Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botonoy, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Condition : The maximum number of attempts persmissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category – 4 attempts, (ii) OBC – 7 attempts (iii) SC/ST – No limit.

Fee: Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).

How to Apply: All applications must apply Online upto 18-04-2011 (18th April 2011) only upto 11.59 PM.

New Common Application Form offline also, can also be purchased from designated Head Post Offices/ Post Office by cash payment of Rs.30/- .
