Coimbatore, July 12, 2025: In recognition of his contributions to public service and commitment to education, Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma was conferred the Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Letters – Honoris Causa) by Karunya Institute of Technology & Sciences (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The honorary degree was presented during the university’s 31st Convocation Ceremony, where Pu Lalduhoma graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister noted that the recognition was not just for him but for the people of Mizoram, who are striving to become a fully literate and progressive state. He reaffirmed his government’s vision to achieve continued growth through education and enlightenment.

Highlighting the role of Christian institutions in advancing quality education across India, Lalduhoma praised Karunya University for being established with a spirit of service and social responsibility.
Addressing the graduating students, he encouraged them to remain steadfast in their pursuits, saying, "Success comes not only from talent but from strong determination." He urged them to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation with a sense of purpose and compassion.
