Imphal, July 15, 2025: In a major operation aimed at restoring peace and public order, security forces in Manipur carried out intelligence-led raids in the early hours of July 15, resulting in the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition across multiple districts in the valley region.
The joint operation - conducted by the Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and the Army/Assam Rifles - covered Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur districts. The coordinated raids were based on specific intelligence inputs regarding concealed warlike stores in both peripheral and interior areas.

Additionally, authorities recovered 41 assorted magazines and 6 wireless handsets during the operations.
The Manipur Police Headquarters described the recovery as a major breakthrough, reaffirming its commitment to restoring law and order and ensuring public safety. The force has urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or illegal possession of arms to the nearest police station or central control room.
