Imphal, June 19, 2025: The Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a high-level review meeting at Raj Bhavan, focusing on strengthening and modernizing the state's education system in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The meeting was attended by senior education officials, including Secretary (Education-S) N. Praveen Singh, who presented detailed district-wise data on school performance and infrastructure. Also present were Director of Education (S), Ng. Bhogendra Meitei, Joint Secretary (Education-S), Anjali Chongtham, and other departmental heads.
Governor Bhalla underscored the urgent need to deliver quality, inclusive, and equitable education, highlighting the role of NEP 2020 and the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in reshaping the learning landscape in Manipur.
Key areas of focus discussed during the meeting included:
• Upgrading school infrastructure across districts
• Promoting digital learning tools and technology-driven teaching
• Ensuring regular teacher training and capacity-building
• Enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement
The Governor emphasized that improving education outcomes is essential for the overall development of the state and called for close coordination between all stakeholders to implement policy directives efficiently.
