Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio Extends Condolences on the Passing of Mrs. Amenla Konyak

Kohima, May 8, 2025, Virthli (ONP): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Amenla Konyak, the beloved wife of veteran political leader Mr. Chingwang Konyak, Convener of the People’s Democratic Alliance and President of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). Mrs. Amenla passed away on May 8, 2025.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Chief Minister Rio described Mrs. Amenla as “a woman of grace, warmth, and unwavering faith,” whose humility, kindness, and compassion touched countless lives. Remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was praised for her steadfast support and as a pillar of strength to her family, particularly to her husband during his decades-long career in public service.

He lauded Mrs. Amenla's warmth, generosity, and affectionate nature, noting that while her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, her remarkable life will continue to be a source of inspiration.

On behalf of his family, the Chief Minister extended his deepest condolences to Mr. Chingwang Konyak and the bereaved family, offering prayers for strength and peace during their time of grief.

“May her noble soul rest in eternal peace,” the Chief Minister concluded.
