Imphal, August 1, 2025: The Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today inaugurated the e-Gazette Portal of the Government of Manipur at http://egazettemanipur.mn.gov.in, marking a transformative step towards digital governance and public transparency.
This digital initiative aims to replace the traditional printed gazette with a fully electronic system of publication. Beginning August 1, 2025, the state will discontinue physical printing and sale of Gazette copies, thereby embracing an eco-friendly, paperless system.
Key Objectives of the e-Gazette Portal:
1. Digital-Only Publication: All Manipur Gazette notifications will now be published exclusively on the e-Gazette portal.
2. Cessation of Printed Copies: Hard copies will no longer be printed or sold, ensuring a complete shift to digital media.
3. Record Maintenance: The Directorate of Printing and Stationery will preserve official records of e-published notifications and make them available for reference.
4. Transparent and Accessible Governance: Citizens will have easier access to government notifications, improving dissemination and administrative efficiency.
This step aligns with the state government’s broader vision of modernizing public service delivery and enhancing citizen engagement through e-governance.
The launch of the e-Gazette Portal not only ensures timely availability of government information to the public but also significantly reduces the environmental impact and costs associated with printing.
