Imphal, July 14, 2025: The Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, has issued a public notification inviting applications from individual farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and farmer groups for financial assistance and subsidies under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) for the financial year 2025–26.
The scheme aims to promote mechanized farming practices in the state by offering:
• Subsidies for the purchase of farm machinery and equipment
• Assistance for setting up Farm Machinery Banks for Custom Hiring (1st installment of Central and State share)
Interested individuals are required to collect and submit the prescribed application form in hard copy to the concerned District Agriculture Officer (DAO).
For farmer groups intending to establish Custom Hiring Centers, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) must be submitted along with the application form. The DPR format can be obtained from the Directorate of Agriculture, Sanjenthong.
Important Deadline:
The last date for submission of applications is 31st July 2025.
