Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)-2011

In accordance with the provisions of Sub-Section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had vide notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in teacher in any of the schools referred to in Clause (n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate govt in accordance with the guideline framed by the NCTE

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the central teacher eligibility test (CTET) to the central board of secondary education Delhi which will be held on 26th June, 2011

Application Fee: Rs 500/- for SC/ST/differently abled candidates Rs 250/-

Information bulletin containing application form can also be had by post by sending demand draft of required fee from the central board of secondary education, Shiksha Sadan, 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-110002

Important Dates:

Sale of CTET information bulletin and application form: 20th April, 2011 to 10th May, 2011

Last date: 15th May, 2011 (online and off line both)

Date from which the candidates can apply online: 06th April, 2011, remoe areas: 22nd May, 2011

Schedule of examination

Paper-I: 26th June, 2011, 09.30 to 11.00 hours

Paper-II: 26th June, 2011, 12.30 to 14.00 hours
