Principal (Reader's Grade): 25 Posts (UR-14, ST-7, OBC (M)-3, OBC (MP)-1)

Centre of Examination: Imphal
Period of probation: 2 years

Eligibility Conditions:

I) The candidate must be a citizen of India
II) The candidate must be able to Speak Manipuri (Meetei/ Meitei lon) or any of the Tribal dialect of Manipur
III) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Manipur provided that a candidate whose parent or any of his/her ancestors in his/her direct lineages are permanent resident of the Sate, with proper documentary proof like enrollment in the electoral roll and birth certificate will also be eligible.
Iv)Age: 35 years and above

(v) Educational qualifications:
(a) A Master's Degree With at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognised university.
(b) A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline(s) in the Institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
(c) Associate Professor With a total experience of 15 (fifteen) years of teaching/ research/ administration in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education.
(d) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in Appendix-III of the UGC Regulation, 2010 for direct recruitment of Professor in colleges which Is given below:
(I) Consolidated API score requirement of 400 (four hundred) points from category-III of APIs and
(II) Academic background (20%), Research performance based on API score and quality of publications (40%); Assessment of domain knowledge and training skills (20%) and Interview performance (20.%).

Relaxation clause: "A relaxation of 5% of marks at the Graduate and Master's Degree level for the candidates belonging to ST/SC/PWD categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record for direct recruitment to the said post.
