Imphal, July 11 2015 : After much delay, the State Government has finally decided July 13 as the date for formation of the six ADCs of hill areas of Manipur.

The oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected members will be held in respective district headquarters on July 13, official sources said.

The six ADCs are Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Senapati, Tamenglong, Chandel and Sadar Hills.

The election for the 144 members of the six councils was held on June 1 and results were declared on June 11 .

Naga People's Front (NPF) will come to power in four ADCs namely Tamenglong, Chandel, Ukhrul, and Senapati as the party attained majority in these councils.

Sadar Hills ADC will be under Congress' power, while for Churachandpur a newly-formed Hill People's Alliance consisted of the Independent candidate winners will come to power.

With this latest development, the district administrations of the respective districts have started full preparation to ensure smooth and successful conduct of oath-taking ceremonies.
